When I was still working on a full time job, I used to dread Mondays. It means that I’m back to reality and that I’m back to sitting on my desk for 8-12 hours a day, slaving away for things that I couldn’t care less about. Not that I don’t like my job, but it was something that has slowly drained the f*ck out of me, with its toxicity and unhealthy relationships. Now that I’m doing work from home, I don’t really mind Mondays at all. Besides, there are still times when I would still work during the weekends, and I felt like I’ve already lost the concept of “work days”. I’m still adjusting to this new lifestyle of mine, and to be honest, it’s quite a struggle, but I think if I just put myself into it, I’d be able to pick up my pace and create a timeline that would let me be more productive with everything.
One of the great ways to get me off my feet from bed would definitely be music. A nice music could help you out on setting the mood and tone of your day. Lately, I’ve been trying to listen to some zen stuff before I get to work (would you believe), and apparently, it does help out on meditating and concentrating for a couple of minutes or so. After that, I’d go back to listening to some pop songs that would set a happy tone while I do squats (haha), fix my room, run through my mails, and gladly reply to every one of them. I should definitely add checking this blog and replying to comments as part of that routine, though.
Anyway, as you can see, music has definitely helped me on setting the tone for my day, and so, I’ve created this light morning playlist that you can play while you get ready and commute to work!
