I have never been a fan of gigs. Pretty much because I got used to the idea that gigs only include hard, metal music, with a lot of screaming and ear blasting guitar riffs. Don’t get me wrong, I like rock, sure, but I’m not really the type of person who’d like to go on the mosh pit and just go wild, body slamming everyone with my sweaty body. I like good music, of course, but I haven’t really discovered gigs yet that cater to the type of chill, laid back vibe that I want — most commonly associated to indie folk bands or hipsters as some may say — until I discovered a bunch of bands (mostly from So Far) based in Manila and followed them on social media, and boom, the rest was history: I am now a convert for gigs and concerts.
Anyway, earlier this month, I dragged Mark and my good friend, Cza, to the Satchmi Vinyl Day 2015 at Bonifacio Global City. I honestly went there knowing just a couple of bands who’s going to play, but eventually, we ended up having a great time together. I intentionally went there to take photos, and I kind of accomplished it during our stay. We also attempted to catch the Iron Throne at Fully Booked but miserably failed. Here are some of my photos featuring Ourselves the Elves, Tandem ’91, Jensen and the Flips, and BP Valenzuela. We didn’t stay late because we’ve been walking non-stop since earlier that day, but either way, we had a grand time.

So, aside from flooding you guys with my photos, I’m also posting (finally!) another mixtape. This has been brewing for sometime now, but as I’ve mentioned on my previous posts, I have been having issues with inspiration, so please bear with my late posts and bursts of creativity. LOL! Here’s a quick mixtape called “Brewed Well”, inspired by jams by Filipino artists that I’d totally love to listen while having a nice cup of coffee. Also influenced by Satchmi Vinyl Day vibes. Hope you guys like it!
